5 Day Silent Intensive Retreat

The spiritual path in essence is being a kind, loving and peaceful human being. It is to know thyself. To understand one's mind, to know one's heart and to recognise reality as it is.

It is a tremendous challenge to do this while having a job, children, social life and a government that imposes itself on our freedoms.

The ability to remain peaceful amidst the outer pull of life requires, for want of a better phrase, spiritual power. Spiritual power is remaining kind, loving and peaceful while the kids are screaming, you open another bill, as you prepare breakfast and get ready for work.

Meditation is resting in that stillness.

We engage in sitting meditation because that is the easiest way to gain familiarity with that space. The space is the same. One may be in meditation while attending to the outer world.

For many of us it is extremely difficult.

Most people find that sitting meditation time is a relief and refuge. A time for rest and finding our feet, so to speak. It is time with ourself, as ourself, with no distractions.

Without this anchor of peace the outer world makes us suffer.

When we can carry our inner peace into the outer world, it makes us happy.

Retreat is the larger yearly cycle of time dedicated to oneself, so one can go deeper into oneself and then carry that experience into the daily cycle of sitting silently finding oneself and then engaging with the world.

Unless one is a very gifted human being, dedicating time for one's inner life is vital. EVERY spiritual tradition has, as part of their path, a time when seclusion is essential.

Our false sense of self is literally created by mirroring in the eyes of others. Retreat is the ultimate gift to oneself, which of course is then our greatest gift for others. It is you charging the batteries of relaxation, love, kindness, wisdom and peace.

The retreat will be held with guided meditations online.
The retreat is open to everyone. You don't require a religion to observe your self.
If you are a beginner to meditation this is wonderful, as we are observing our self, and who you are is what you observe.

This retreat is offered by donation.
